Azade Ehrun
Azade draws inspiration from the natural world with her dynamic abstract interpretations of movement and explorations of color. An intuitive artist who works primarily with acrylics, Azade often aspires to create illusions of ethereal translucence. Her aesthetically detailed sensibilities may spring from her Turkish/Hungarian heritage and emerge in the complex abstractions that she creates.
She discovered her love of painting during the pandemic, in March 2020, when Azade devoted her time to exploring acrylics and has produced approximately 500 paintings, so far.
Azade had worked as a graphic designer in New York City (in 1980s), moved to rural Montana where she raised her children in an off-the-grid mountain home, and nearly 20 years ago settled in Ashland, Oregon.
